FaceOff / OBO 2006
The faceOff mask was the first product of its kind. A new category of face protector for the short corner phase of field hockey.
The faceOff project was initiated in response to a latent need in the hockey market. The faceOff itself consists of a vacuum-formed Polyethylene hard outer shell designed to flex for maximum impact absorption without compromising the inherent rigidity and structure of the mask. Lined with co-moulded Polyethylene closed cell foam padding of various densities, the mask is able to absorb impacts without coming into direct contact with the face.
